This Martin Luther King, Jr. Day campaign, Back to Basics, is all about returning to the fundamental values we learned as children: loving, caring, and sharing.
The images we chose for our campaign showcase acts of kindness, servant leadership, and environmental activism. We also wanted to include diversity in age, gender, and race. We wanted to utilize existing social media platforms such as the ASU app, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter because we believe that our target audience, being primarily students, are mostly active on online platforms. Our posts would include the hashtag #backtobasics2022, which could also be used by participants during the MLK breakfast event.
